In 2017, two best friends Betty Dimitian and Nicole Vellucci formed a company over a dinner of chicken parm & blueberry pie. The concept was simple: to bring clients Pinterest dreams to life at a price they can afford, but with a unique twist that takes their vision to the next level. Be Envied Events (BNVD), a name derived from both ladies initials, offers event planning, styling, consultation, rentals, floral, custom made invitations, gifts, catering, photography, music, desserts and fine jewelry. Conveniently located seven miles from Boston in the suburb of Watertown, BNVD Events' boutique style showroom is a welcomed change from the hustle and bustle of downtown with ample free parking.
Betty Dimitian grew up in the food and catering industry alongside her family at Arax Market, which her parents opened in 1974 . They specialize in homemade Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine derived from old family recipes that tantalize your tastebuds. Betty graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in graphic design. Her passion for design is evident in her work at BNVD, where her creative touches add that something extra to ensure your event is truly envied. From designing custom made invitations that represent each clients' personality to creating a spread that embodies the true essence of art, no small detail is left undone.
Nicole Vellucci declared her passion to be a jeweler like her father at the age of five during a kindergarten graduation ceremony. She began working in her family‘s jewelry store during college and also writing a weekly social column for a local newspaper, which was another passion of hers. After graduating from Suffolk University with a degree in journalism and organizational communication she opened Forever Diamond, while continuing her work at the newspaper. At BNVD Events, she specializes in public relations, contracts with venues/vendors, advertising and is a client liaison.
Both women grew up working alongside their parents in small family owned businesses that were built from the ground up where hard work, customer service and the drive to succeed were instilled in them at a very young age. They have set these fundamentals as the base for BNVD Events and the possibilities to create are endless.
